I like to tell people that I've been writing since before I could technically write.
And it's true.
There are stories written on yellow lined paper that my four-year-old self dictated to my gracious parents (I did, however, provide illustrations). Stories about evil kings and runaway princesses, talking animals and secret riches. And that was only the beginning.
I remember reading my first book by myself. It was The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner. After I finished it I thought, "I could do this. I could write a book." I didn't seriously sit down to write a novel until several years later. But ever since the Boxcar Children I have wanted to be a writer. Like everyone, I went through several other career options (astronaut, ballerina, popstar, detective) but writer was always the one that made my heart soar.
And it still does.
I am several finished books (and several unfinished books) from where I was at age four, but I'm still writing, still learning, still dreaming.
And I'm on a journey.
A journey to fulfill my dream of being published(although if someone offered me a job as a detective I would accept in a heartbeat). I hope you will like what you find here, and if you learn something that's an added bonus. =)
Thanks for stopping by!!
P.S. If you want to know a lot of random things about me, check out this Get to Know Me tag I did!
